  1. Canon annouces EOS 500D digital SLR

Canon have announced a new digital SLR for their range, the EOS 500D. Sitting just above their 450D camera, the main new feature of the 500D is the inclusion of high-definition (HD) movie recording. Main features include:
    • 15.1 mexapixel CMOS Sensor (1.6x)
    • DiG!C 4 Image Processor
    • Full HD Movie Recording
    • Live View (with Face Detection)
    • 3” LCD (high resolution)
    • 100-3200 ISO (H1:6400, H2:12800)
    • EOS Integrated Cleaning System

Since it's launch, the Nikon D90 has stolen the limelight based primarily on the HD movie feature, so we expect the 500D to be a welcome addition to the range for Canon enthusiasts.

The Canon 500D is expected to arrive during May and will be available in the standard kit

  3. Canon 5D clearance

PLEASE NOTE: We have now sold the two units we had. Sorry if you missed out.

We have two of the original mk I version of the Canon EOS 5D to clear so we've dropped the price to just $1999.

Obviously, the EOS 5D Mk II is newer, has more features and is improved in a heap of areas, but it's also twice the price. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a brand new, full frame digital SLR for under $2000 - one that won't come around again for a while.

We really do have only 2 of these, so what are you waiting for? Please order now to avoid disappointment.
