  1. Ricoh WG-M1 Action Camera

     Leading up to Photokina, Ricoh has entered the Action Camera market which has so far been led by GoPro. The Ricoh WG-M1 is packed full of features including a colour LCD screen, WiFi and a bright f2.8 160 degree wide angle lens just to name a few. 

    The Price for the WG-M1 isn't firm in Australia as yet but its currently set at $359. The ETA isn't firm either but it should arrive towards the end of October.

     Last week Sigma announced their latest all-in-one Superzoom lens - the 18-300mm. Apart from having such a versatile focal length it boasts the latest optical stabilization system from Sigma and its also compatible with the Sigma USB dock. This lens is designed to work with APS-C size sensor dslr cameras and will be available for Pentax, Sony, Canon, Nikon and Sigma mount cameras.

  7. Sigma Releases two 150-600mm DG OS HSM Lenses

    On Friday 12th of September 2014 Sigma announces two 150-600mm lenses. Both have the same focal length however one falls under the Sigma ''Contemporary'' (C) line up and the other one is under the Sports (S) line up. They both have the new Sigma image optical stabilization system and work with full frame sensor DSLR cameras however internally they are quite different. As per the Sigma Sports lineup they have a dust and splash construction, also from the actual size and weight differ as well.

  9. Ricoh releases updated firmware for Pentax K-3

    Ricoh has released version v1.10 firmware for the Pentax K-3, which addresses the following issues:

     
    • Added Diffraction Correction on Lens Correction.
    • Shortened processing time for Digital Filter and Color Fringe Correction.
    • Improved stability for AWB (Auto white balance) performance.
    • Changed to ISO Bracketing when using Exposure Bracketing on TAv mode
    • Improved stability for general performance.
